We may be selling our hobby stock cars, due to the new and upcoming rules in this class. Those of us from Ellison Racing have decided that with the new changes to the rules. It will be to expensive to keep racing. This is a poor mans sport! Racing with the basics has always been racing to us. Now that there will be IMCA Hobby Stock rules it just took the fun out of this class. let's mention tires. We bought tires as cheap as we could find, now having to have hoosier tires takes more money out of our pockets. Not everyone has sponcers! We put 3 cars on the track at our expence. We sponcered 1 full car. We also helped 2 other cars race in the hobby stock class. We either sell or we start a new class for us racing folks who just want to race! I know 1 other person who will not be racing at Lovelock. So that leaves the track with 2 IMCA Hobby stock cars from Lovelock. Rick, Dahna, and Mike Ellison.

What rules got changed? I was at the meeting and the only rules that were changed were a couple general rules and the optional restrictor plate rule which was brought up by Tim. The rules for the tires never changed. The Hoosiers are optional. To my understanding anyways.

New and upcoming rules? The rules for this class are NOT nor have they even been discussed as to being IMCA rules. Rule changes that were made are: A) Restrictor plates are optional (requested by drivers in attendance at Class meeting) B) Lineups ( requested by drivers in attendance at Class meeting) C) Tire rule remains the same as far as the G-60 tire.
These changes will make this class much more exciting for Fans and Drivers as well ! Please call me at anytime for clarification to the Hobby Stock rules that have been posted on this Website. Thank You, Ed Macedo Chairman NVRC 775-273-0812
